Service Introduction

Since 2018, the Saudi Arabian Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) has made the IECEE recognition certificate mandatory for some electrical and electronic products. Products need to provide valid CB certificates and reports to apply for the SASO IECEE Recognition Certificate (abbreviated as SASO IECEE Recognition Certificate).

Certification Scope

· Mobile phones and accessories (chargers, Bluetooth headsets)

· Laptop computers, tablet computers and accessories

· Power banks, mobile phone batteries

· Lamps and accessories

· Solar photovoltaic products

· Dishwashers

· Electric water pumps

· Televisions and displays

· Smart watches

· Electronic cigarette devices

Note: SASO plans to expand the mandatory scope of the IECEE recognition certificate from July 1, 2021, with 6 new product categories added.

· Coffee machines

· Cables

· Electric kettles

· Electric frying pans

· Electric pumps (less than 5 horsepower)

· Video games and accessories

Certification Requirements

Register with a valid CB certificate and report within three years.
