I. Introduction to PSB Certification

The Singapore Business Registration Agency has announced that consumer goods - the controlled goods listed in the announcement (CONTROLLED GOODS) must meet the safety standard requirements. The Singapore Consumer Protection (Safety Specifications) Registration Scheme also has such requirements. For controlled electrical products, it is mandatory to apply for PSB certification. Before the products enter Singapore, a company or business entity with a tax registration in Singapore must act as the certificate holder for the PSB application (our company provides a Singaporean business that can serve as the certificate holder when applying for PSB certification). Only after the products obtain the PSB certification can they enter the Singaporean market for sale.

The issuing authority is PSB (Productivity and Standard Board of Singapore).
a. The certificate holder is a local company or business entity in Singapore. There is no factory inspection and no annual fee.
b. The validity period of the certificate: three years.
c. If the product has a Plug, an SS246 test certification report needs to be submitted.
d. There is no "series" application for product certification (each certificate can only cover a single model).

1. The voltage in Singapore is AC230V/50Hz.

2. The certificate holder must be a locally registered representative company.

Issuing of the certificate: The safety mark needs to be placed on the product.

Document requirements: Safety testing;
CB certificate and test report (in English only) with a validity period within three years.
All reports issued by PSB Corporation or an accredited testing laboratory according to Singaporean standards.
Reports issued by an independent laboratory recognized by the Singapore Laboratory Accreditation System.

Information of the local representative in Singapore.
Authorization letter for the application of Singaporean safety regulations (on the letterhead of the local representative company in Singapore).
If the CB certificate holder is different from the local representative company in Singapore, the CB certificate holder must present an authorization letter.
Complete circuit/wiring diagram (including rated values), and parts list (preferably in A3 size).
English user manual.
Original label or a clear and visible color photo.
Color photos of the appearance and interior.

The Singapore Standard Productivity and Innovation Board (referred to as Spring Singapore) is the Product Safety Department designated by the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore, and it is in charge of the Consumer Protection (Product Safety Requirements) Registration Scheme (referred to as the CPS scheme). Since April 1, 2002, Consumer Protection Regulation No. 1991 has been replaced by Consumer Protection Regulations No. 2002. The new regulations require that product safety compliance should be based on the test and evaluation of a third-party certification body. Currently, there are 45 major categories of products that are subject to mandatory control and certification.
